Runners Continue to Improve Times, Medaling and Qualifying for Districts

On Saturday, September 19th, Canner Cross Country ran in the Big Spring Invitational. For the boys, 24 teams competed with a total of 165 boys running. There were 19 girls teams with 128 runners. Jessica Allen and Kelsey Crum lead the girls team and earned medals for placing in the top twenty for double A schools. Allen earned a medal for 15th place and Crum for 17th place.

In a meet at New Oxford on Tuesday, September 22nd, the entire cross country team saw a drop in their times with most runners improving by at least one minute.
 
For the boys, Ryan Beatty was the first Biglerville finisher with a time of 19:47. He was followed by Jon Troutman (20:36) and CJ Seils (20:52) who both qualified for districts in that meet. Completing the top five finishers for the team were Justin Kelly and Curtis Flickinger.
 
For the Biglerville girls, Danielle Prior finished first with a time of 21:47. Jessica Allen, Kelsey Crum, Julia Bolin, and Ivy Gantz completed the top five from the Biglerville team.
