Cross Country Teams Open Season |

The cross country team ran in their first meet on Friday, September 4th, against York Tech and Bible Baptist at the York Tech Invitational.
The meet was a good opportunity for the team to run against teams of similar size and for new team members to experience their first 5K race. The team has been training for hills, and the course definitely included hills as well as a creek that the runners had to run through.
The Biglerville girls team defeated both the York Tech and Bible Baptist girls! The low score wins in cross country, and the score was Biglerville 15, York Tech 50 and Biglerville 15, Bible Baptist 50. Biglerville took first and second place with Danielle Prior (25:25) and Kelsey Crum (26:32). Rounding out the top five girls from Biglerville were Julia Bolin in 8th place, Savannah Rosensteel in 9th place, and Ivy Gantz in 10th.
The Biglerville boys lost to York Tech, scoring 37 points against York Tech's 18 and lost to Bible Baptist, scoring 45 points to Bible Baptist's 15. Biglerville's number one runner was Jon Troutman (24:29) in 11th place. Also finishing in the top five for the team were Carl Seils (12th), Curtis Flickinger (13th), Justin Kelly (15th), and Landon Robey (17th).
The next meet is Thursday at Littlestown.
