Biglerville Lady Canners Soccer Weekly Highlights

The Lady Canners ended the season on a sour note as they finished 1-2 for their weekly effort. After starting the week with their 10th victory against the Littlestown Bolts, the Canners' offense went into hibernation as they lost a 5-0 match to Trinity on Wednesday and a 7-0 game on Friday night against the ladies of Bishop McDevitt.

JV Girl’s Soccer Team Wraps up the 2010 Season Winning their Final Match

On Friday, the Lady Canners JV girl’s soccer team finished the 2010 season with a 2-0 upset victory over Bishop McDevitt, their third Mid-Penn Conference-Colonial Division opponent in the past two weeks.

Lady Canners Enjoy 2-1 Week

The Lady Canners completed a grand week of soccer as they finished with a 2-1 record for the week. With the two victories, the Canners qualified for YIAA play-offs beginning on May 10th. Also, with their present record of 9-5-1, the Canners will stand a good chance of making the district tournament.

JV Girl’s Soccer Team Defeats Fairfield 5-0

The Lady Canners JV girl’s soccer team attired in pink jerseys donated by the Wilkinson family for the second annual Girl’s Soccer “Pink Out” event, defeated Fairfield 5-0. The Biglerville girls were trying to raise money for cancer research by hosting the event again this year.

JV Girl’s Soccer Gets Second 0-0 Draw with Eastern York

The Lady Canners JV soccer team was trying to set the tone for the evening by battling the ladies from Eastern York to a 0-0 tie. Both teams had some good scoring chances, but solid defense and good goalkeeping carried the day.

Lady Canners Play Tough in Tournament

The Lady Canners Soccer team was busy over the weekend as they traveled to York Suburban High School on Saturday to take part in this invitational tournament. Blessed with a beautiful day and strong competition, the Canners played two games as they competed against the ladies of York Suburban and Kennard Dale.

Wilkinson, Canners Record 3rd Shutout

The Lady Canners got back on the winning track as they posted a 1-0 win against the Irish Ladies of York Catholic. Along with that victory, the Canners' Heather Wilkinson was able to gain her 3rd shutout as she had another well played game in the goal.

Canners Win with Back to Back Shutouts

The Lady Canners enjoyed a fruitful weekend as they posted 2 shutout victories. Friday night's contest against Northeastern saw the Canners score 3 first half goals as Amanda Bailey, Kayla Fouchie, and Olivia Moore hit the back of the net. Liz Witherow added the final goal in the 2nd half as the Canners finished the night with a 4-0 shutout victory.

Lady Canner JV Girl’s Soccer Team Loses to Northern 2-0

The Lady Canners JV soccer team was playing their third match in four days at Northern York High School on Monday afternoon. The JV squad was on the losing end of a 2-0 score in a tough match with the Lady Polar Bears on a beautiful day to play soccer at Northern York High School.
